History and development of the AI-Framework

Around 2009 Joeri Haring and René van den Berg worked together on a large, technical IT project. It bugged them that a lot of functionality needed to be coded more than once, for example for the back-end and the front-end of the software. Joeri developed the idea to build software that would generate software, based on functional descriptions that were fed to it.
The result was a prototype of a framework. In this case, the back-end was programmed manually. After that, the front-end was generated automatically. This was the start of an abstract way of working!
Joeri and René decided to start a company, Abstract IT, to further develop these concepts. In 2010 the AI-Framework was born.
Leading from technology to functionality
The aim of the AI-Framework is to take away the painstaking process of coding in different programming languages, for which a lot of technical know-how is needed. In stead, the developer "tells the AI-Framework" in detail which functions are needed, and the AI-Framework generates all the code!
The AI-Framework provides a tool for developers that helps them move away from technology and focus on functionality.

Development over the years
The AI-Framework is built in C#. It is highly structured and at the same time greatly flexible. Therefore it has the potential to grow and become increasingly applicable. Each time a new function is needed, it is easy to build precisely that function and add it to the AI-Framework. So, over the years the framework has developed into a powerful, fast and relatively easy to use tool for developers to use.
Example: Recently a customer requested us to rebuild their old Invoice Order Management System. The current version had been developed in nine months. With the AI-Framework, a brand new version was built within three months. It is more stable, faster and has more functionality.
Result of the project: Less costs, more stability and speed, happy customer and users.
The AI-Framework kept growing over the years. We keep up with new developments in worldwide industrial standards. Therefore we can guarantee that software, generated with the AI-Framework, is not outdated. It is safe, secure and fast.
